Love Should Be

I’m home and it’s raining. There’s something about a cold rainy day that puts me in a creative mood. I’m listening to This is the Kit, a band from the UK, which I think you might like. The lead singer has a unique yet subtle quality to her voice that I enjoy, and the instrumentation creates an experience all its own.

There’s a quote by George Bernard Shaw that has been on my mind this week as I figure out the best steps to take to feel more established: “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

I’ve been trying to find myself, but I’ve been here the whole time. It feels like having a few too many puzzle pieces—the only way to know which ones don’t belong is by taking the time to put the puzzle together.

But I don’t know, I’m still figuring it out.
